Trailer Registration Process
Licensing of the trailer is the responsibility of the customer, not the manufacturer. Venter Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd does not register trailers, but releases them into the name of the purchaser or Proxy on the eNATIS System. The following process applies:
1. Customer buys the trailer
2. Venter Manufacturing issues the following:
- Invoice
- Microdot Certificate
- Manufacturing Certificate
- ENATIS Release Request Form
3. Customer pays for the trailer
4. Customer enters details on the Release Request Form (Name, ID number, Telephone number, Date)
5. Trailer is officially released on the ENATIS System
6. To Register the trailer the customer takes the following to the Licensing Department:
- Invoice
- Manufacturing Certificate
- Microdot Certificate
- Identity Document
7. The Licensing Department issues:
- Numberplate Number
- Licence papers with licence disc
Note: Licence your trailer as soon as it is purchased, to avoid uncessary complications with the authorities, down the line.
